The Supreme Council of the Judicial Power participates in the 27th edition of the International Book and Publishing Fair, organized on June 2-12, 2022, in Rabat under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him. The participation comes as a part of the Council’s implementation of the 2021-2026 Strategic plan, namely the measures seeking to open up to citizens and litigants and ensure communication with the public opinion, governmental authorities, and civil society actors.

This participation is marked by outreach meetings with citizens at the Council’s pavilion with the aim of introducing the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, its competencies, and its role in promoting judicial ethics. The outreach meetings also serve to identify the judicial trends in different important areas, through the holding of seminars and meetings facilitated by Council members, Council officials, and judges of the Court of Cassation and other lower courts.

The participation is an occasion to showcase the publications of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power and the Court of Cassation, as well as the works of the honorable judges. Moreover, the Strategic Plan of the Council, accessible through a QR code available at the pavilion, includes programs and missions of the Council in the field of the judicial participation in the reform programs of the justice system for the coming period, either in terms of the management of judges’ status, the supervision of judicial matters, or in other justice-related fields. This is possible through an integrated participatory approach that aims to moralize the judiciary, improve judges’ skills, increase their level of performance, and strengthen their legal and human rights capacities.

The pavilion makes available the Code of Judicial Ethics, downloadable through a QR code. It also includes a model of the museum of preservation of judicial memory, displaying documents, photos, and logistics that reflect an aspect of the history of justice in the Kingdom of Morocco.
