In a speech on this occasion, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, Mr. Mustapha Libzar, said that Women’s Day is an opportunity to recall the pivotal role that women play in society and all walks of life, including economic, social, political, and cultural aspects. This special day recognizes women’s contribution to establishing a greater awareness of their rights and the prestigious status they deserve in family and society.
The Secretary-General further added that the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power presided over by HM the King, considers that investing in the potential of women who serve in the judiciary and the Council’s administration is among the Council’s priorities, as outlined in its Strategic Plan, namely procedure 37 which stipulates: “the quest for the true parity in the assignment of responsibilities while bearing in mind competence and equal opportunities”.
The event was attended by women members of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, women judges and employees of the Council, and officials and heads of departments of the Council. Roses and gifts were handed out to the celebrated women.
