Mr. Abdellatif TAHAR was appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI as a member of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power on January 17, 2022, after being elected by the board of judges of the Courts of Appeals during the elections of October 23, 2021.
Mr. TAHAR is a first-grade judge. He holds an LL.B. in private law from the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah in Fes in 2002. He joined the Higher Institute of the Judiciary in Rabat in 2003.
Mr. TAHAR was appointed as a resident judge at the resident judge center in Aknoul of the First Instance Court of Taza in 2005, then as a judge at the First Instance Court of Meknes. He was then promoted to the second grade and was appointed Justice at the court of Appeals of Nador in 2013 where he continued to serve until he was elected a member of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power.
Judge TAHAR is a visiting professor at the Higher Institute of the Judiciary and his articles are published in different journals and magazines
