Mr. AHMED GHAZALI was appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI a member of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power in 2017, and was reappointed on January 1, 2021.

Mr. GHAZALI holds a Ph.D. in private law. He is an honorary professor of higher education. He was in charge of a mission at the Royal Cabinet and was nominated as a member of the Thinking Group founded by His Majesty the late King Hassan II between 1996 and 1999. He was also an expert and an advisor to many national and international development organizations.

Mr. GHAZALI held several positions, including Director of the Cabinet of the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Human Rights between 1993 and 1997; Chief of the Cabinet of the Minister of Justice between 1997 and 1998; Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice between 1999 and 2003; and head of the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication between 2003 and 2012.

Mr. GHAZALI is a founder and/or a member of several Boards of associations working in the field of human rights (OMDH), citizenship (Transparency Maroc) and development (AMSED, ADEDRA, AMAPPE, La chaine de vie).
