The program aims to "Strengthen the rule of law through an accessible, efficient judiciary that aligns with international standards."
In its initial phase, the tripartite program will be activated, focusing on CEPEJ-led activities, particularly in areas targeting judicial quality, data collection and management, judicial time management, cyberjustice, and the use of artificial intelligence within pilot courts (the Rabat Court of Appeals, Rabat Court of First Instance, Rabat Administrative Court, and Fès Commercial Court of First Instance). The experience is set to be gradually expanded to other courts nationwide.
The MA-JUST program is expected to enhance judicial protection for those it serves and to strengthen the application of penal policies to reduce incarceration rates. Organizers anticipate the program will improve access to justice for all, promote alternative conflict resolution methods, and establish reliable data metrics to better assess judicial efficiency and support court operations. Additional aims include bolstering cooperation between judicial institutions, advancing the digitization of the justice system, and strengthening the skills of judicial officials.
