The First President of the Court of Cassation, President Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, Mr. M'hammed Abdenabaoui, received on Thursday, February 29, 2024, the President of the Belgian High Council of Justice, Ms. Valérie DELFOUSSE, along with a prominent delegation from the Belgian Council and officials from Spain's General Council of the Judiciary.

The participants explored different facets of cooperation between the Judicial Councils of Belgium and Spain, and the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power of the Kingdom of Morocco. They also deliberated on forthcoming possibilities for judicial collaboration and shared insights gained by the mentioned councils, especially regarding digitalization and the dissemination of judicial materials and legal information. Additionally, they assessed opportunities for collaboration in this domain.

This meeting also served as an occasion to showcase the positive outcomes of the twinning program between the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Supreme Council of Justice of the Kingdom of Belgium. It provided an overview of the ongoing transformations within our nation's justice system, especially concerning the structure of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power and its periodic Strategic Plan. Additionally, it highlighted significant reforms occurring under the esteemed leadership of His Majesty the King, who serves as the President of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power. These reforms notably include amendments to the Organic Law of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power and the Statute for Judges.

The meeting saw the participation of SCJP members as well as its Secretary General, the Director General of Financial and Administrative Affairs, and several officials.
