The Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation conducted a workshop on October 10 and 11, 2023, intended for advisors at the courts of appeals and their deputy public prosecutors specialized in penal law within the appellate chambers of Rabat, Kenitra, Casablanca, El Jadida, and Settat.
Facilitated by the President of the Criminal Chamber, the workshop involved the participation of heads of committees, advisors to the Chamber, and its Attorney General. The focus of the workshop included discussions on investigation and misdemeanor chamber cases, the incorporation of penalties, money laundering issues, sanctions, legal sequestration, seizure and confiscation, pretrial detention, financial crimes, and remarks regarding argumentation and formal breaches.
The workshop provided a chance to recognize issues stemming from judicial decisions appealed to the Court of Cassation. It aimed to present a cohesive perspective on these matters to enhance and harmonize judicial practices in accordance with established principles derived from the Court of Cassation's jurisprudence.
