On Monday, October 02, 2023, a memorandum of understanding on judicial and legal cooperation was signed between the Moroccan Court of Cassation and the directorate of judicial services of the Principality of Monaco.

The MoU, which was signed by the First President of the Court of Cassation, President Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, Mr. M’hammed Abdenabaoui, and the Secretary of Justice, Ms. Sylvie Petit-Leclair, aims to establish an appropriate framework for promoting cooperation between both parties in the legal and judicial fields in order to ensure their proper functioning.    

The MoU stipulates the creation of a framework for exchanging visits between judges and employees through protocol visits, expert missions, study visits, and sharing documents, as well as adopting procedures of mutual interests.     

The signing of the MoU coincides with the opening of the 2023-2024 judicial year, which was attended by the First President of the Court of Cassation, President Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, and the King’s Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and was at the invitation of the Secretary of  Justice of the Principality of Monaco and in the presence of HM Albert II, Prince of Monaco, and other dignitaries from the Principality.
