The MoU aims to establish an appropriate framework for cooperation and coordination at the level of conducting training, exchanging jurisprudence, carrying out joint studies to identify similarities between the judicial systems of Morocco and Yemen, and developing best practices.
The MoU stipulates that a joint committee to complement expertise shall be created with the intention of organizing special technical training for judges and officials at different courts.
The memorandum also highlights the importance of exchanging expertise, consultations, and viewpoints, and organizing meetings, seminars, workshops, and annual conferences. The efforts of the inspection bodies of both institutions were also applauded.
The signing of the MoU between the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power and the Supreme Judiciary Council of the Republic of Yemen marks the culmination of a journey of a partnership between the two institutions, the adherence to the general principles that underline the judicial organization of Morocco and Yemen, and the common desire to further and strengthen legal and judicial cooperation between the two countries in a bid to boost the distinguished bilateral relations in all spheres.
