President Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, First President of the Court of Cassation, Mr. M’Hammed Abdennabaoui, received the Minister of Justice and Penitentiary Affairs in charge of Human Rights of the Republic of Djibouti, Mr. Ali Hassan Bahdon, accompanied by a high-level delegation, on May 23, 2022, at the Council’s headquarters in Rabat.

The two parties held talks about the mechanisms for strengthening cooperation and partnership relations, and extending new communication channels between the two countries in mutual judicial and legal fields.

In this regard, the President Delegate presented an overview of the most significant phases of the judicial reform process and the developments related to keeping pace with the international standards to achieve the independence of the judicial authority, in compliance with the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God be with Him, and in implementation of the provisions of the independence of the judicial power contained in the Constitution of 2011.

For his part, the Minister of Djibouti expressed his admiration for the Moroccan experience, affirming that this visit comes within the framework of strengthening judicial relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, and setting mechanisms for exchanging experiences and expertise in various judicial fields.
